At Hoshino Resorts TOMAMU, we embrace the natural beauty of the mountains, aiming to cultivate and develop a culture of winter mountain enjoyment. Our goal is to provide experiences where both skiers and non-skiers can fully appreciate the charm of winter.
With this in mind, hotalu street was created in December 2017 as Japan’s first ski-in, ski-out village, inspired by the idea that visitors should be able to do more than just ski or snowboard down the slopes—they should also be able to enjoy dining and shopping within the ski area itself.
Guests can access hotalu street via a covered walkway from the hotel, or in winter, they can glide directly into the area and seamlessly continue skiing or snowboarding after a meal or a shopping break. This makes it an enjoyable space for everyone, whether they ski or not. During the summer, visitors can gather around a bonfire on the wooden deck, savoring sweets and drinks while surrounded by Hokkaido’s breathtaking natural scenery.
At Hoshino Resorts TOMAMU, we are committed not only to offering unique winter experiences but also to the restoration and conservation of nature. The name "hotalu street" comes from our aspiration to revive the original landscape of Tomamu, where fireflies once thrived. By gradually restoring this environment, we hope to allow future visitors to enjoy the natural beauty that once defined the area.
