The Snow Crystal Museum in Asahikawa, Central Hokkaido, was built to represent the image of the beautiful snow crystals which fall on Japan’s Daisetsuzan mountain range.
From the entrance surrounded by the pure white walls to the corridor of ice, everything in this European inspired building is dedicated to snow. The main room, ‘snow crystal museum’, is covered in displays of detailed images of snowflakes taken from close up under a microscope.
