We are pleased to offer the "Spectacular Frosty Snowshoe," a winter activity where you can fully enjoy the breathtaking winter scenery and the great outdoors. This activity involves snowshoeing through areas covered in a vast, white panorama alongside a guide. While taking in the majestic views unique to Hokkaido, you can enjoy the powder snow on snowshoes and warm up with hot soup afterward, offering an experience unique to snow-capped mountains.
The tour begins at the Terrace of Frost Tree, located at an altitude of about 1,088 meters, where you can enjoy the silver panorama on snowshoes. On clear days, you can witness a vast white panorama of the Hidaka Mountain Range and other snow-covered landscapes. On days with suitable weather conditions, you can also enjoy the view of frost formations. This snowshoe tour allows you to access areas usually only reachable by skiers and snowboarders, as well as areas where frost formations appear.
In this activity, you will strap on snowshoes and embark on a grand adventure in a silver world. The course is decided based on the participants' level and the snow conditions on that day. The guide will carefully instruct you on how to wear and walk in snowshoes and provide information about the wildlife living in the snowy mountains, making it easy for first-timers to enjoy the experience.
After snowshoeing, you can relax with a warming onion gratin soup at KUMO Cafe, adjacent to the Terrace of Frost Tree. The soup is characterized by its tender texture and the gentle flavor of consommé, thanks to the slow-cooked onions. You can warm up your body with the piping hot soup while admiring the snowy mountain scenery, providing a moment of relaxation.
