Ice Chapel
The only one in the world.
Tomamu's nature gave us a fantastic winter church.
The only one in the world.
The church exists for only one month in the winter in Hokkaido.
Starting with the domed exterior, the altar, the aisle, and the cross, everything is made of snow and ice in this ice blue space.
It is a color that can only be created by the natural cycle of water transforming into ice.
The beautiful blue color of the clear ice crystals that are layered on top of each other.
In the sunlight, a pale, gentle blue spreads, and at night, when candles are lit, a deep and forgiving blue is unleashed.
In the sunlight, a pale, gentle blue spreads, and at night, when candles are lit, a deep and forgiving blue is unleashed.
The sublime blue that changes its expression and exists in every moment.
It is a building, yet a creation of nature.
The most fantastic winter church in the world. That is the Ice Chapel.

A place where you can be honest with your feelings.

A space that is cut out of nature as it is by the will of human beings and that can be called a "Sacred space.
By coming into contact with the elements of nature "water, light, greenery, and wind" through architecture, the mind and body are gradually purified and the spirit is sharpened. Before you know it, you'll have honest feelings, which is what the Church of Water is all about.

A family trip wedding in Hokkaido,
where two families become one.
The wonderful thing about a Hokkaido resort wedding is that because it is a small group of people who naturally have special feelings, families can be satisfied and have a place where they can return to the feelings they had on their wedding day, even years later.
